Urethane Products Corporation (UPC) is a privately owned company headquartered in Bellflower, California. Founded in 1974 by Timothy Thermos, a polymer chemist, Urethane Products Corporation became incorporated in 1976 and quickly established itself as a leader in urethane development and technology. UPC has been designing innovative chemistry for demanding military and civilian customers domestically and abroad. In 1979, UPC worked closely with the Aeronutronic Division of Ford Aerospace & Communications Corporation in producing the first production of the AIM 9P Missile System for the U.S. Air Force.
